Andrei Pitis is a tech entrepreneur with several successful international exits spanning over 30 years of experience in the tech industry in Europe and the United States.

In 2023 Andrei founded Genezio along with Bogdan Ripa, Paula Cionca and Bogdan Vlad. Genezio provides a complete solution for evaluating conversational AI agents—such as chatbots—helping teams launch and maintain reliable, secure products. The platform simulates real-world scenarios and runs automated or manual tests to evaluate performance, accuracy, and security both before launch and throughout the agent’s lifecycle.

In 2019, Andrei Pitis founded Simple Capital, a private investment vehicle, interested in financing tech product startups and companies with high growth and interested in expanding on the global market. Currently the portfolio has over 25 startups.

Andrei is passionate about growing the young entrepreneurial tech community in Romania, co-founding in 2012 Innovation Labs, a leading national program teaching students to design and develop self-sustainable start-ups. Andrei is also the co-founder of Tech Angels, the first network for business angels in Romania, being an active investor and business advisor for several Eastern European start-ups. 

Andrei graduated from Politehnica University of Bucharest, Faculty of Computer Science and passionately started working in the software industry early on. He founded his first company in his early 20s, a Silicon Valley-based start-up together with two other partners. Starting 2005, Andrei held the position of Romania Country Manager of IXIA, a leading provider of performance test systems for IP-based infrastructure and services operating in over 30 countries worldwide. Between 2013-2016 he founded and exited Vector Watch, a disruptive 30 days battery life smartwatch. After the exit, Andrei held for 4 years the position of VP Product and Head of European Development Centers at Fitbit, between 2017-2020. Andrei also served two terms in a row as elected President of ANIS – the Romanian IT software association.
